SMH offers Living Well for Better Health workshops

NORWAY — Stephens Memorial Hospital and MaineHealth Learning Resource Center will offer “Living Well for Better Health,” a nationally recognized, interactive workshop series held for two hours, once a week, for six weeks.

Adults with any kind of health condition such as diabetes, heart disease, arthritis, depression, weight concerns or any other ongoing health problem can attend. Family members or friends are encouraged to attend as well.

Robin Green, LSCW and Sharon Nightingale will help participants learn new ways to deal with issues such as fatigue, pain, anxiety, sadness or depression. Also covered are appropriate exercises for maintaining and improving strength, flexibility and endurance, how to eat healthier, how to evaluate new treatments, how to be a member of your healthcare team, how to set goals, plan for your future, and much more. Coffee and muffins will be provided.

Workshop will be held Tuesdays, from March 28 – May 2 beginning at 9 a.m. at the Harper Conference Center in the Ripley Medical Office Building in Norway. Registration is required. There is no cost for this program. For more information or to register, call 743-1562, x 6896.
