Cottrell School to offer Headstart, pre-school for 4-year-olds

MONMOUTH — Henry L. Cottrell School, in collaboration with Southern Kennebec Child Development Corp. Headstart, will povide a Headstart program for 4-year-olds as well as a pre-school program, beginning in the the fall.

Registration for both programs is 8 a.m.-2 p.m., April 28 and May, by appointment.

The 4-year-old Headstart program will be in the morning, with pre-school in the afternoon.

Children must be 4 years old on or before Oct. 15, 2017, to qualify for either program. A copy of the child’s original birth certificate, Social Security card and health record, including immunization dates, is required to register. The child will be checked for height, weight, vision and hearing, as well as a brief screening with a Cottrell staff member. Parents have the option of signing up for either program.
