Leeds youth group plans nighttime snowshoe trek March 4

LEEDS — The Leeds Youth Athletic Association invites snowshoers to join a 2-mile snowshoe trek through snow-lantern-lit terrain at 6 p.m. March 4.
The trek will begin at the Town Garage/Fire Station on Ridge Road (off Route 106). The moonlit course travels along fields and trails to the top of Monument Hill and loops back down to the finish line, where hot chocolate and a bonfire await.

The registration fee is $10 per person or $20 per family. On-site registration begins at 5:15 p.m. You may preregister by mail with a check made out to LYAA to Snow Lantern Trek, P.O. Box 128, Leeds, ME 04263.

This event supports LYAA. Headlamps encouraged.
