SIDNEY — The Pineland Suzuki School will hold two performances of its annual benefit concert, “Carnival of the Animals,” at 2 and 4 p.m. March 12 at Snow Pond Center for the Arts, 8 Goldenrod Lane.
Violin, viola and cello students in the Pineland Suzuki School program, from beginners through advanced students, will perform music inspired by animals.
The 2 p.m. concert features younger children with puppets and dancing, a joyful and humorous musical celebration of children’s friendship with animals.
The 4 p.m. concert features the Snow Pond Youth Symphony and advanced students of Pineland Suzuki School.
In between the two concerts, at 3 p.m., there will be a reception with live chamber music, a silent auction and an instrument petting zoo.
Tickets are $10 in advance for each concert ($12 at the door), $5 for students and seniors, and children under 6 are free.
Tickets are available from any Pineland Suzuki School teacher or family or by calling 621-4166.
