LISBON — Sunshine Hill Neighbors Seniors and Lisbon Rec will be offering day trips to Lac Megantic Bellavance Sugar Shack, Boston Red Sox vs. Toronto Blue Jays game, and a two-night/three-day trip to White Mountain Hotel and Resort.
The trip to Lac Megantic Bellavance Sugar Shack will depart from the MTM Center at 8 a.m. on Friday, March 31. You will travel to Lac Megantic, Canada, by motor coach and will arrive at approximately 11 a.m. to enjoy maple taffy on the snow and tour the shacks.
We will then enjoy a traditional all-you-can-eat meal of boiled and fried potatoes, ham, salt pork rinds, eggs, omelets, beans, meat pies, crepes, maple dumplings and homemade breads. There will also be a large assortment of homemade Canadian items for purchase at the sugar shack.
The total cost of this trip is $70 per person, and a passport or passport card is required for this trip. Water and snacks served on the bus.
We will be traveling to Fenway Park on July 20 for a 1:30 p.m. game where the Red Sox will take on the Toronto Blue Jays. The seats will be in the covered right field grandstands. There will be time before the game to grab lunch outside or inside the park and to watch batting practice. The cost is $100, which covers your ticket, coach bus transportation, water and snacks.
On Wednesday, Dec. 6, we will be traveling to the beautiful White Mountain Hotel and Resort for a three-day/two-night stay. This tour includes standard deluxe accommodations, five meals (two breakfasts, one lunch and two dinners) ordered off the menu in the Ledges Restaurant, three shows in the Echo Ballroom, a sleigh ride at Nestlenook Farm and deluxe coach transportation.
Among the resort amenities available for our use are year-round heated outdoor pool and Jacuzzi, health facilities, Finnish saunas and game room.
The cost of the trip is $439 per person double occupancy. Space is limited so reserve your spot early.
