WILTON — The Jay, Livermore, Livermore Falls Chamber of Commerce began 2017 with a 1980s-themed annual meeting at Calzolaio Pasta Co., where we were entertained by our newest chamber member, Teachers Lounge Mafia. They are an improv group that performs based on suggestions from the audience.
Awards were then given out to RCCM Cleaning (Carrie and Roland Castonguay) nominated for Business of the Year, Wanda McDonald (Berry Fruit Farm) for Employee of the Year and Karin Ashmore (Inside Out Indoor Garden Supply/ Ted Berry Co.) for Member of the Year.
The night was wrapped up with 2016 Chairman Bob Berry from Main-Land handing over the gavel to 2017 Chairwoman Kim Turner of Otis Federal Credit Union.
February started with our monthly breakfast meeting, sponsored by Main-Land Development Consultants, which had 35 attendees. Our speaker, Rebecca Webber of Taintor, Skelton and Abbott, talked about tips for employers in business.
Next month’s meeting, sponsored by Otis Federal Credit Union, will be on March 2 with Castonguay Meats as the member in the spotlight and a speaker from Western Maine Transportation, Craig Zuhorst.
