WORCESTER, Mass. — Worcester Polytechnic Institute has announced its Dean’s List for academic excellence for the fall 2016 semester. Local students who earned that honor included:
Alex Beaudoin of Lewiston, a member of the class of 2017 majoring in mechanical engineering
Benjamin Morton of Norway, a member of the class of 2018 majoring in mechanical engineering
Calvin Downey of Buckfield, a member of the class of 2019 majoring in mechanical engineering
A total of 1,424 undergraduate students achieved the criteria required for WPI’s fall 2016 Dean’s List. The criteria for the WPI Dean’s List differs from that of most other universities as WPI does not compute a grade point average. Instead, WPI defines the Dean’s List by the amount of work completed at the A level in courses and projects.
