On Jan. 15, Olivia Tapley of Lewiston presented the Greater Androscoggin Humane Society, with the donations from her 8th birthday. Olivia, a second-grade student at the Geiger Elementary School, asked for donations for the pets in lieu of birthday gifts.
Party guests generously donated pet food, treats, toys and blankets to help with the care of the thousands of unwanted animals the Humane Society helps each year. The GAHS is located at 55 Strawberry Ave. in Lewiston.
