Kennebec Savings Bank promotes Jennifer Bechard

Jan. 202017

AUGUSTA — Andrew Silsby, president and CEO of Kennebec Savings Bank, recently announced the promotion of Jennifer Bechard to the position of human resources officer. Bechard works at the bank’s main office in Augusta. Bechard originally joined Team KSB in 2015 as its payroll and human resources information system manager.

In announcing the change, Silsby was highly complimentary of Bechard. “Jennifer has been instrumental in upgrading our payroll system to a true human resources information system. She has been a major contributor to various human resources policy and practice changes and has played a leadership role on compensation issues and federal compliance reporting. Between the more than 20 years of experience she brought to us when she started here, and the depth of knowledge she’s added in the time since, this is a well-deserved promotion.”

She said of the promotion, “I knew Kennebec Savings Bank had been recognized as one of the best places to work in Maine when I initially started with the bank, and in my time here I’ve found that to be true. The organization’s attention to detail and employee culture is exceptional. I’m grateful for this opportunity to grow with the bank as it continues to grow.”

Bechard came to KSB from the Bank of Maine, where she worked in their human resources department. She holds a bachelor’s degree in business with a concentration in marketing from Thomas College. She is currently in the process of earning her SPHR certification.

Bechard lives in Augusta with her husband and two middle-school-age daughters.
