AUBURN — The First Universalist Church of Auburn will present “The Beet Poets of Wayne, Maine,” a folksy variety show featuring spoken word and music, at 12:30 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 29, at 169 Pleasant St. (across from Dairy Joy).
Beet Poets fervently believe in poetry that won’t put people off poetry. Performers include David Moreau, Jay Franzel, Claire Hersom and Steve Cowperthwaite, and musical poet Stan “Big Cat” Davis.
