LEWISTON — The LA Metro Chamber will host the next seminar in its Mind Your Business, Business Development Series: Entrepreneurship: Look Before You Leap! from 8:15 to 9:45 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 17, in the LA Metro Chamber’s conference room at 415 Lisbon St.

This workshop focuses on anyone who is ready to begin their entrepreneurial journey. Nearly everyone dreams about going into business, has a business plan in their head or is convinced they could “do it better.”
When reality sets in, are they truly ready? They should lead with a path to self-examination for their entrepreneurial career. This workshop will review what to consider before putting down money to start a business. Talk is cheap but when it is your money, would-be entrepreneurs should tread carefully.
Facilitator Tim Cyr has started and owned several successful businesses and had a couple of not-so-successful ventures but has devoted a lifetime to being on his own as a business person. Tim is a founder of the Aspiring Entrepreneurs’ Guild and of Advanced Computing Techniques. He is eager to share what he has learned in working with closely held businesses and his own entrepreneurial ventures.
