BRIDGTON — Bridgton Hospital’s Outpatient Department is pleased to announce that Christine Lint is among 118 registered nurses who passed the Infusion Nurses Certification Corp.’s September 2016 Certified Registered Nurse Infusion examination.
In doing so, Lint joins an elite, global community of more than 3,000 active CRNIs. The domestic pass rate of first-time takers of the exam was 71 percent.
INCC Chair Lynn Hadaway, MEd, RN-BC, CRNI, said of the new CRNIs, “Earning the respected CRNI credential demonstrates a strong commitment to excellent clinical practice and positive patient outcomes. This achievement represents the highest dedication to infusion nursing and merits special recognition by their colleagues and employers.”
The CRNI exam tests the knowledge and expertise of registered nurses in eight core areas of infusion therapy practice: technology and clinical applications; fluid and electrolyte balance; pharmacology; infection prevention and control; special populations; transfusion therapy; antineoplastic/biologic therapy; and parenteral nutrition. In doing so, the exam validates the extensive knowledge and skill an expert registered nurse in infusion nursing possesses.
