Everyone had a good chuckle when little Iona Swanson gallantly walked in to the Gray-New Gloucester gym wearing her homemade paper mask. Wearing it throughout the entire holiday concert, her mother said, “She thinks she can make anything out of paper.”

Memorial School kindergarten opened the holiday concert with “I Want to be an Elf” and ended it with “My Red Sled.” Even before the music began we enjoyed the wonderful expressions and body language of youth.
First grade of Memorial School performed five holiday songs for parents and friends at their December concert including “La Navidad (The Nativity)” and “Winter Fun” by children’s song writer, Mike Wilson. Some extra expressiveness was added by Isana Bell (lower right) who obviously loves music.
Two of the four songs done well by the second graders at Memorial School were, “A Nice, Nice Christmas” and “We All Need Peace.” The young man in the upper left donned an explosive-looking hat for their song “Winter Wipe Out” about a really wild sled ride.
