Roger “Fat” Perreault
1937-2016
AUBURN — Roger “Fat” Perreault, 79, a lifetime resident of Jay, passed away, late Tuesday evening, Dec. 6, at Hospice House of Androscoggin in Auburn. He was born April 5, 1937, in Jay, the son of Aime Perreault and Laura (Simard) Perreault. 
Fat was a 1957 graduate of Jay High School; following graduation he joined the U.S. Army. On September 14, 1963, at St. Rose of Lima Church in Jay, he married his wife of 53 years, Rae Brown.
He worked as a crane operator for International Paper Company, at both the Otis and Androscoggin Mills in Jay. He was a communicant of St. Rose of Lima Church. He was a member of the United Paper Workers’ Union Hall in Jay, and International Paper Company Quarter Century Club. He enjoyed going to the union hall for coffee and conversation, collecting coins and milk bottles.
He was also very talented with woodworking, both creating and repairing for people in the area. He was a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather, who enjoyed time spent with his family.
He is survived by his wife Rae Perreault of Jay; sons, Kevin Perreault of Livermore Falls; Doug Perreault and his wife Beth of Jay; his daughter, Karen Fogg and her husband Frank of York; six grandchildren: Alexis, Jayden, Meghan, Sydney, Jake and Sam; his sister, Leanne Wood and her husband Barry of Jay; and his brothers, Robert Perreault and his wife Jeannine and Maurice Perreault and his wife Carol all of Jay. He was predeceased by his sister, Anita Castonguay.
