WARNER, N.H. — Sylvia Deane Ridley, 77, a longtime resident of, Jay, died early Monday morning, Dec. 5, at Pine Rock Manor. 
She was born July 11, 1939, in Jay, the daughter of Milton and Winnifred (Tweedie) Deane. Sylvia was a 1957 graduate of Jay High School.
On March 28, 1958, in Jay, she married Stephen Ridley; he passed away Dec. 16, 2012.
Sylvia worked through the years for the U.S. Postal Service, retiring as postmaster of the Jay Post Office.
She enjoyed the outdoors, fly fishing and going camping at Nesowadnehunk Campground in Millinocket.
She is survived by son, Ryan Ridley and his wife, Gayle, of Alton, N.H.; four grandchildren, Meredith Frazier and her husband, Tyler, Calvin, Justin and Alex Ridley; two great-grandchildren; brothers, Lester Deane and his wife, Jill, and Ronald Deane and his wife, Sally, all of Jay, and James Deane of Holden, Mass., and Sterling Deane and his wife, Linda, of Livermore; and brother-in-law, Dr. Robert Ridley and his wife, Kay, of Manhattan, Kan.
She was predeceased by infant daughters, June, Jane, Linda and Deb; sons, Clayton, Scott and Stephen Dean Ridley; brother, Louis Deane and sister-in-law, Diane Dow Deane.
