Still time to purchase AHCH’s annual holiday remembrance ornament

Dec. 22016

LEWISTON — For the 11th year, Androscoggin Home Care & Hospice is offering a commemorative ornament to recognize a loved one while contributing to a good cause. {CAPTION}

The 2016 remembrance ornament measures 2.25 inches by 3 inches, is hand-cast in pewter and features holiday candles. The ornament costs $20 and comes prewrapped in a silver bag suitable for giving. A tag personalized with the honored individual’s name is included, and all proceeds are dedicated to home health and hospice services for patients who do not have resources to pay for care.

“We know that for some families, purchasing the Remembrance Ornament has become a part of their holiday tradition,” said Kenneth Albert, president and chief executive office of Androscoggin Home Care & Hospice. “The ornament is a nice way to keep the memory of a loved one alive while at the same time helping people receive the care they need when they do not have the ability to pay.”

Ornaments may be picked up after Dec. 8 at AHCH’s Lewiston Office, 15 Strawberry Ave. A $3 mailing fee is required for all orders needing shipment. Please allow two weeks for delivery. Order forms are also available at all Mechanic Savings Bank locations: 100 Minot Ave., Auburn; 664 Main St., Lewiston; and 3 Drive-In Lane, Windham.

Order forms are also available at the AHCH Lewiston office and at the AHCH Hospice House on Stetson Road in Auburn. Ornaments can also be purchased online at www.ahch.org or by calling 207-795-9428.

For the 11th consecutive year, Mechanics Savings Bank serves as the ornament sponsor. Since its founding in 1875, Mechanics Savings Bank has remained committed to giving back to the communities it serves through charitable donations and volunteerism.
