AUBURN — For its December community service Liberty Rebekah Lodge 94 chose the Salvation Army in Lewiston. A check for $50 was presented to Lt. Dan Johnson of the Salvation Army to help them make a more joyful Christmas for those in need.
In addition to this donation, the lodge’s Noble Grand Kenny DerBoghosian volunteered his service to ring the bell for the Salvation Army for eight hours for two days during the Christmas season. Another December project is the Odd Fellows and Rebekahs Home Christmas party for the residents. A $50 donation was given by the lodge to the Rebekah Assembly Home Committee to use toward gifts for the residents. The committee spends three days decorating, shopping and getting ready for the party on Saturday, Dec. 10, when Santa comes to visit to pass out the gifts. The residents and their guests will also enjoy a program of music by Present Company with Lorna Jollymore on the keyboard and Margaret Dix and Diane Meservier, vocalists.
