WILTON — The second annual Family-Style Christmas Dinner, a free community event, will be from noon to 1:30 p.m. Christmas Day at the Harnden Masonic Hall, 70 Bryant Road (the street across from Tractor Supply).
Organizers Arleen Masselli of Knowlton Corner Farm, Amanda Beane of Farmington and Donna Dashnau of New Sharon, began this new tradition for people to gather together for fellowship, good company and delicious food, with other members of the community. Last year, volunteers joined together to peel potatoes, cut squash, decorate and serve in the spirit of togetherness.
This is an annual social event for all community members, those who do not wish to cook, those who prefer the fellowship of others and those who are home alone, etc. Everyone is welcome. This year’s dinner will consist of ham, squash, mashed potatoes, gravy, cranberry sauce, rolls and pies. The event is being held at the Harnden Masonic Hall in Wilton, which was generously donated by its members.
Transportation to and from the event will be provided, free of charge for those needing a ride. Santa will be joining us for dinner as well. Reservations are required, so call 778-6520 by Dec. 22 to reserve your spot.
