Balsam fir tipping, wreath-making workshop planned Dec. 3

WAYNE – Join Dave Fuller, agriculture and non-timber forest products professional with the University of Maine Cooperative Extension, for a balsam fir tipping field program on how to tip sustainably, followed by an indoor wreath-making workshop at 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 3, at Ladd Recreation Center.

Dave will discuss how to identify balsam fir, proper tipping methods and how to make a balsam fir wreath. Bring hand shears and light gloves. Cost is $5 for KLT members, $10 for nonmembers with a maximum of 20 participants. Preregister by calling 377-2848.
