AUGUSTA — Kennebec Savings Bank invites customers and community members to drop off a warm jacket or pair of snow pants at any of the bank’s locations as part of the annual Coats for Kids program.
“This program is a perfect fit with the bank’s culture of helping to build the community,” said Andrew Silsby, president and CEO at the bank. “Every day we see the various needs in this community. That’s why the bank proudly supports over 300 local causes in 30 communities and dedicates nearly 6,000 employee volunteer hours each year. We know we can build a stronger community together.”
KSB is proud to be partnering with the Maine Bankers Association, Shaw’s, Hannaford’s and Pratt Abbott to make the Coats for Kids program a success. Silsby, who also serves as vice chairman of the Maine Bankers Association, has long been a supporter of this program.
“We look forward to the Coats for Kids drive every year as one more opportunity to lend a helping hand,” Silsby said.
Collection boxes are now available in each of the bank’s branches, ready to accept donations of new or gently used coats, snow pants, scarves and mittens. Branches are located in Winthrop, Waterville, Farmingdale and Augusta, where items will be accepted through Dec. 31.
