Marcel G. Gagnon
1939-2017
PORTLAND – Marcel G. Gagnon, 77, of Livermore Falls, passed away Thursday, June 8, 2017, at Maine Medical Center.
He was born Aug. 25, 1939, in Lac-Mégantic, Quebec, the son of Irenee Gagnon and Amelian (LaBrecque) Gagnon. He attended school in Canada.
He and his former wife, Michelle, relocated to Maine, where they made their home together until they later divorced. On Sept. 6, 1997, he married Stacy Given and they made their home in Livermore Falls.
Marcel worked for Isaacson’s (Pallet One) in Livermore Falls for many years. He enjoyed fishing, playing the accordion and guitar, sitting by the campfire, spending time with his family and especially time spent with his dog Addie.
He is survived by his wife, Stacy Gagnon, of Livermore Falls; two daughters, Manon Burhoe and her husband, Mark, of Fayette, and Linda Gagnon, of Livermore Falls; three sons, Richard Gagnon and Shawn Gagnon, both of Livermore Falls, and Andrew Gagnon and his fiancée, Chanel Shaw, of Beatrice, Neb.; 12 grandchildren, Bob Stanley, Jessica, Chris, Tina, Amanda, Ryan, Heather, Aaron, Malachi, Bailey, Ayiden and Athen; 10 great-grandchildren; three brothers, Gille, Yvon and Paul Gagnon, and two sisters, Diane and Suzanne, all of Lac-Megantic; former wife, Michelle Gagnon, of Livermore Falls.
He was predeceased by his parents, his son Daniel Gagnon, brother Marc Gagnon, granddaughter Crystal Martin and grandson Noah Gagnon.
A funeral service was held at Finley Funeral Home, 15 Church St. Livermore Falls. Interment is at Jay Hill Cemetery, Main Street, Jay.
