Speaker receives ‘Optimist Creed’

George Mathews, Lewiston-Auburn Optimist Club president, gave a copy of the Optimist Creed to guest speaker Shelly Kruczewski, conservation director of the Androscoggin Land Trust. Kruczewski recently spoke to the club about the community hiking and biking trails as well as upcoming summer programs available to the public on the more than 5,000 acres managed by the trust. Volunteers are needed and welcomed for trail clearing and many other types of projects.
