Good Shepherd Holy Week services set

RANGELEY – The Church of the Good Shepherd will celebrate Holy Week beginning on Palm Sunday, April 2, and culminating on Easter Day, April 9.
The church is an Episcopal faith community at 2614 Main St. All are welcome, no matter where they are in their faith journey.
Palm Sunday, April 2, 7:30 a.m. and 9:30 a.m. A service remembering Jesus’ entry into Jerusalem, includes a liturgy of the palms and service of Holy Eucharist.
Maundy Thursday, April 6, 6 p.m.. A reflective service commemorating the institution of the Holy Eucharist, and the Mandatum novum (New Commandment) Jesus gave his disciples: “Love one another.” The service will conclude with the stripping of the altar.
Good Friday, April 7, noon. Reflection on the cross at Golgotha and Jesus’ last words; to include the reading of St. John’s Passion, and chanted ancient prayers unique to the liturgy of the day.
Easter Day, April 9, 8:30 a.m. A joyful service celebrating Jesus’ resurrection; to include a Festal Holy Eucharist, with special music, as well as familiar hymns and readings. Fellowship and light refreshments will follow in the Undercroft.
