Kennebec Retired Educators meeting to include pot luck, auction June 12

VASSALBORO — The Kennebec Retired Educators Association will meet at 11 a.m. Monday , June 12, at the Browne’s residence, 793 Webber Pond Road in Vassalboro. The meeting will be a pot luck lunch and auction to benefit the KREA Scholarship Fund.

The group is open to any retired educator, and the June 12 meeting is free, but there is a $10 annual fee for those wishing to join. The group meets September through December, and March through June.

“It’s A great way to keep in touch with past colleagues and to keep up with the latest issues that affect a retiree’s benefits,” said Gail Smith, publicity chairwoman. She said new members are always welcome.
