AUGUSTA – The Maine Bureau of Veterans’ Services will host a tribute of remembrance, reflection and appreciation for the service of the state’s Vietnam veterans at 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 29 in the Maine State House Hall of Flags.
“Maine’s Vietnam-era veterans are a special group of people who sacrificed so much for our country,” said Maine Bureau of Veterans’ Services Director David Richmond. “It is our responsibility to honor them for their courage and dedication in the face of danger and remember all of those who paid the ultimate price for our freedom.”
Leadership from Maine Bureau of Veterans’ Services will be joined by Maj. Gen Douglas Farnham, adjutant general of the Maine National Guard to recognize and reflect on National Vietnam War Veterans Day. Light refreshments will be served.
