Tri-Town Optimist January Student of the Month announced

The Tri-Town Optimist Club of Mechanic Falls, Minot and Poland Regional School Unit 16 Student of the Month for January was Kaiah McGarry. Kaiah, an eighth-grader at Bruce M. Whittier Middle School, is described by teachers as a kind and humble student who stands out as a leader and a clear choice for the Optimist award. She is a focused student who is always eager to do well. People listen when she speaks, because she is a thoughtful and quiet voice of reason that empowers others.
