Winthrop Grange, historical society team up on valentine-making event

WINTHROP – Winthrop Grange 209 is partnering with the Winthrop Maine Historical Society to bring the community a Valentine-making event from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 4, at the Winthrop History and Heritage Society, 107 Main St.
All materials will be available to make valentines, and the event is free and open to the public. The activity is for all ages. Children must be supervised by parents.
The history of Valentine’s Day will be shared, as well as any new and old-fashioned Valentines participants may choose to bring to the event.
The History and Heritage Center also is now in winter hours, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday, Friday and Saturday. The center features exhibits on the history of Winthrop, and also has a gift shop.
The next business meeting of the WMHS will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 2, in person at the Center and on Zoom at networkmaine.zoom.us/j/89167551737.
