Some of the classes and workshops available are:
Knitting Group, 4:30-7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Education Center, 8 Falcon Road. Attendees may work on their project, learn from others, and socialize.
Writing Your Life Story, 10 a.m. Thursdays, Jan. 19, 26; Feb. 2, 9, 16, 23 via Zoom. An informal class to get you on the road to writing about your life. You don’t have to be a “writer” to take this class, and this will not be a critique of your writing style or grammar. Each week there will be a writing assignment, with topics chosen by the group. At the end, you will have written the first six chapters of your life story. Take a chance on finding out that you’ve lived a pretty interesting life after all.
Estate Planning, 3:30–4:30 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 26, presented by attorney Martha McLean, of McLean Law, Education Center, 8 Falcon Road. Session will include understanding how assets pass at death, probate and non-probate transfers, an explanation of wills and powers of attorney for healthcare and finances, the role of personal representatives, agents and trustees, and trust-based planning.
Game Day, 1-3 p.m. every third Tuesday, 9 Marston St., Norway. Cribbage, checkers, trivia, jigsaw puzzles, cards – there are many games available. Staff is on hand to network and talk about SeniorsPlus programs while we play games.
BYO Craft and Chat, 10 a.m.-noon, every third Thursday, 284 Main St., Suite 210, Wilton. Bring your own knitting, crocheting, needlepoint, painting, anything you enjoy. Come relax and socialize while working on your project.
