FARMINGTON — The Farmington Grange is hosting Wednesday Workers and Warm Up, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. every other Wednesday, weather permitting, through the end of April, at the Farmington Grange Hall, 124 Bridge St.
The next session is Wednesday, Dec. 21. The program is free and open to the public, and will continue through the winter. It’s a chance for area residents to warm up and socialize with other others. The hall has a new updated heating system and is much warmer than in the past.
Grange members will bring projects to work on — sewing, knitting, rug hooking, etc. There will also be games and puzzles, music, as well as soup, coffee and light refreshments. Members are available to teach people how to do simple mending, and anyone can bring their own projects, or mending, if they’d like assistance. It’s not necessary to bring a mending project or craft to attend, though.
