LEWISTON – Plans for Lewiston’s Holiday at the Plaza, scheduled for Saturday, Dec. 3, are finalized, with a full schedule of food, music, activities and more.
The highlight of the day will be the Christmas tree and ceremonial menorah lighting at 4:30 p.m. at Dufresne Plaza, 72 Lisbon St.
Some of the other events planned are visits and photos with Santa, a craft fair, food trucks and more.
The schedule includes:
11 a.m.-5 p.m.: Ice skating. Free skates are available, or bring your own
11 a.m.-1 p.m.: Free horse and wagon rides and live reindeer
Noon-4 p.m.: Giant snow globe – take photos inside
1-4 p.m.: Ice carving demonstration
Music begins at 11:30 a.m. and continues until 5 p.m. Acts, in order of appearance, include The Merimanders Bates College acapella group, Leslie Reed, Beth Almquist and Cecelia Landry (violin, cello, guitar), Laurie Sidelinger and Honor Flight Maine vocalists, Rabbi Sruli Dresdner and Lisa Meyer, Maine State Music Society Chamber Singers.
