The Tri-Town Optimist Club of Mechanic Falls, Minot and Poland Regional School Unit 16 Student of the Month for November is Elliot Colon, a sixth-grader at Minot Consolidated School. Elliot is described by his teacher and principal as a quiet student leader who always sees the best in others. His cheerful enthusiasm and commitment to self-improvement both in and out of school personify the qualities of the Optimist creed, making him an obvious choice for the award.
