OXFORD – Oxford County Soil & Water Conservation District 2022 Annual Meeting and Luncheon will be from 12:30 to 3:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 3, at the Oxford Recreation Center, 223 King St.
The event celebrates the accomplishments of the district, volunteers, and community partners. All proceeds go toward supporting OCSWC programs, including providing environmental education opportunities to families and protecting clean water and healthy soil in Oxford County.
Lunch will include comfort food for cold weather and include choices for omnivores, vegetarians, vegans and those who are gluten-free.
Guest speaker is Scott Vlaun, executive director of Center for an Ecology Based Economy. He will talk about food, climate, and agroforestry.
Award presentations will be made for Oxford County Register of Big Trees, Conservation Inspired Contractor of the Year, Partnership in Watershed Conservation and Volunteers of the Year.
After the award ceremony, there will be a ticket auction.
