Lewiston names marketing, communications director

LEWISTON – Angelynne S. Amores is the city’s new director of marketing and communications. Amores brings an extensive background in marketing and communications that includes local, state and federal governments, along with private sector and non-profit work, city officials said.

“Whether you live, work or visit, Lewiston has an abundance of opportunities, and Angelynne has vast experience that will help to showcase all that Lewiston has to offer,” Mayor Carl Sheline said. “I look forward to Angelynne working with city staff to further place Lewiston at the forefront of opportunities and innovation.”
Amores will create, implement, and manage marketing initiatives, strategic branding, and oversee website and social media for the city. She will also serve as the primary resource for internal and external city communications.
Her work in government includes the communications offices for the mayor of Chicago, state of Illinois and Indiana, Indiana attorney general’s offices and the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. Her private sector experience includes national and local Internet providers. She earned a master of science in communication from Northwestern University, and a bachelor’s degree in hournalism from St. Mary-of-the-Woods in Terre Haute, Ind.
She, her husband, and dog enjoy spending time with their family, including a new granddaughter, taking in the natural beauty that defines Maine.
