AUGUSTA – The Augusta Symphony Orchestra will kick off the 2022-23 season with
its fall concert at 3 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 6, at South Parish Congregational Church, 9 Church St.
Concerts are free and open to the public, but donations to support the orchestra are accepted.
Musical selections for the Nov. 6 concert include the Rosamunde Overture by
Schubert, and Symphony No. 1 in C major by Bizet. The orchestra will also perform Tchaikovsky’s Variations on a Rococo Theme, featuring Boston-based cellist Hyun-ji Kwon as soloist.
The Augusta Symphony Orchestra’s conductor and music director is Jinwook Park, who also is conductor of the Colby College Symphony.
Founded shortly after World War I, the ASO is a community orchestra that includes individuals spanning all age groups and walks of life, from high school students to active retirees.
