Art Walk L/A, Music in the Park is Sept. 30

LEWISTON — Art Walk L/A will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, Sept. 30, downtown, followed by Music in the Park, at Kennedy Park from 7 to 9 p.m.
Music will include Taiko Maine Drummers in Dufresne Plaza at 5:30 p.m.; Chris Robley and Lisa/Liza, among others, in Kennedy Park at 7 p.m.
The Studio, 291 Lisbon St., will hold its annual Horror and Gore art show, featuring oddities, psychic readings, horror and gore art, and mpre.
Other art walk events include:
Krista Lord at Downtown Handmade, second floor, 182 Lisbon St., a solo exhibition of her new watercolor series. Music will be by Shanti and Hiroya. The shop also has a group exhibit, showcasing crows and autumn.
Lynne Schmidt will read poety from at 5 p.m. at the Wicked Wings murals, 120 Lisbon St. (Rain location is Quiet City Books)
“Fading Light,” a group show of more than a dozen artists that celebrates all things autumn, will be at Quiet City Books, 124 Lisbon St.
A show of works by New Beginnings artists, curated by Jessy Kendall, will be at New Beginnings, 191 Lisbon St.
Rain location for Taiko Maine Drummers will be Callahan Hall, Lewiston Public Library, 200 Lisbon St. Rain location for Music in the Park is 1800 Club, 34 Court St., Auburn.
