Monmouth Community Players to hold auditions for ‘Clue, The Musical’

MONMOUTH — Auditions for “Clue, The Musical,” will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday Sept. 6 and Wednesday, Sept. 7, at Winthrop Congregational Church, 10 Bowdoin St., Winthrop.
Everyone who auditions must be vaccinated with a COVID booster, and must present a vaccination card.
Those auditioning should bring sheet music and come prepared to sing 16 bars of a Broadway-type song, along with a quick range check. An accompanist will be provided. Be prepared to read a short monologue – one will be available for each character. The audition will also include a short dance combo and cold reading.
Rehearsals will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Mondays and Wednesdays and 2 to 5 p.m. Sundays. Some rehearsals will be flexible based upon actor availability. Final rehearsal schedule will be available at the read-through. Please be sure to list any conflicts between now and the show on your audition form.
“Clue” will be directed by Josie French. Performances will be at the Great Falls Performing Arts Center in Auburn, 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday, Nov. 11, 12, 18 and 19, and 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 12, and Sunday Nov. 13 and 20.
