AUGUSTA — Spectrum Generations has hired Lindsay MacDonald, of Richmond, to join the team as community engagement director.
Spectrum Generations is central Maine’s Area Agency on Aging and Disability Resource Center, serving residents in Kennebec, Knox, Lincoln, Somerset, Waldo counties, part of Sagadahoc county and the Brunswick and Harpswell.
MacDonald was previously executive cirector for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Bath/Brunswick for 11 years, and as executive development assistant for four years before that.
“It is an honor to join Spectrum Generations in this capacity,” MacDonald said. “From delivering meals and tackling food security for some of Maine’s most vulnerable citizens to offering classes and connecting people to resources, Spectrum Generations does so much to meet its mission of helping Mainers age with dignity within communities of their choice. I look forward to helping this organization build capacity through fundraising and grant writing to reach even more aging Mainers and adults with disabilities during these uncertain times.”
The mission of Spectrum Generations is to promote and advance the well-being and independence of older and disabled adults, with the support of their care partners, to live in their community of choice. As community engagement director, MacDonald will manage Spectrum Generation’s public education and advocacy efforts, marketing, strategic communications and fund development which includes four fundraising events, corporate relationships and individual donors.
She will work from the Augusta office, on Weston Court.
