LEWISTON — YWCA Central Maine and the city have partnered this year to open the Kennedy Park pool and splash pad.
YWCA Central Maine’s involvement in staffing Kennedy Park Pool has been vitally instrumental, as Lewiston Recreation has been navigating the national lifeguard shortage, while also working to re-build an aquatics program that has been closed for two seasons, city officials said.
The pool is open Wednesday through Friday until Aug. 19. Lewiston resident can register for a free membership at www.lewistonrecreation.com or in person at the Lewiston Recreation Department, 65 Central Ave., at the Lewiston Armory. Call 207-513-3005 with questions.
