Buckfield Middle School caps off perfect softball season

BUCKFIELD — The Buckfield Middle School softball team finished their second straight perfect season, with an 11-0 record, after beating Mountain Valley, 8-1, in the Capital Area League championship game on June 13. Pitcher Charlotte McGreevy finished the game with 16 strikeouts and one walk. Chloee Bennett, Taylor Harvey, Jillian Muller and Emma Hooper all had key hits in the first and third innings to carry Buckfield to their win.
Team members are Camryn Brickel, Charlotte McGreevy, Emma Hooper, Chloee Bennett, Jillian Muller, Alyssa Breton, Sophie St.Pierre, Brielle Gay, Ella Bernard, Brielle Kelley, Kamryn Spencer, Avery Zielinski, Taylor Harvey, Lillian Tifft, Eve Culleton, Addison Morris and Zoe Thone. Coaches are Leann Abbott, Jess McGreevy and Shawn Prokey and managers are Addy Smith and Paige Bly.
