Wooden boat building to be July 21 Belgrade Historical Society topic

BELGRADE — Rod Johnson will give a presentation on wooden boat building at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, July 21, at the Old Town Meeting House, Cemetery Road.
The program is in conjunction with the Belgrade Public Library’s Community Read 2022 book, “The Lowering Days,” by Gregory Brown, and is sponsored by the Belgrade Historical Society.
Johnson’s father, Cliff Johnson, owned a boat shop in Belgrade Lakes village, and Rod grew up in the boat building trade.
The talk will also showcase the newly renovated Old Town House, a project of the historical society.
