Color Dash fun run and walk to benefit Kennebec Valley Chamber, Downtown Alliance June 3

AUGUSTA — The Kennebec Valley Chamber of Commerce Color Dash 5K fun run and walk will be held on Sunday, June 3.

The fun run through the streets of downtown Augusta will raise money for the Downtown Alliance and Chamber of Commerce, and is for runners and walkers of all ages and abilities.

Packet pickup is at 7 a.m. at City Hall, 16 Cony St., and the event begins at 9:30 a.m. There will be plenty of vendors, a DJ dance party, enter drawings and contests, and much more. This is a family friendly event.

Half of the money raised from the event goes to the Kennebec Valley Chamber of Commerce and the Downtown Alliance, and will be be used to offer resources to the business leaders both in downtown Augusta and throughout the Kennebec Valley through promotion, educational seminars, community events and by offering networking opportunities. The businesses that are a part of KVCC and the ADA are key players in the local economy – by supporting them, participants are helping strengthen the future of the community, organizers said in a news release.
