Leavitt squeezes past Medomak Valley in baseball

Leavitt’s Jake Mellen slides safely into second during a May 20 game against Medomak Valley High School. Leavitt beat the Panthers 3-2. Winning pitcher was Will Keach, with a save by Noah Carpenter. Connor DeCoster had three hits and Brogan McCormick an RBI single. Will Keach was the winning pitcher for the Hornets, who were 6-8 after the win; the Panthers record is 7-6. (Bill Van Tassel photos)
