BELGRADE – The first of two 2022 prescription drug take-back events will be held from 10 a.m. top 2 p.m. Saturday, April 30, at the transfer station.
A Kennebec County sheriff’s deputy will be on hand to collect expired and or unwanted pharmaceuticals. The service is offered free of charge to residents and nonresidents, and part of a national effort hosted by the U.S. Drug Enforcement Agency and local law enforcement.
The National Prescription Drug Take Back Day aims to provide a safe, convenient, and responsible means of disposing of prescription drugs, while also educating the general public about the potential for abuse of medications. For more information, click here.
