Maine-ly Harmony Chorus gets ready for in-person events

Apr. 72022

Maine-ly Harmony women’s barbershop chorus is back rehearsing together and preparing for in-person events, including an upcoming competition and convention in Westborough, Massachusetts. The women will compete against choruses from throughout New England and Canada at the Harmony Inc. Area 2 convention and contests April 21-24.
Meanwhile, the group welcomes women and girls interested in becoming members to join rehearsals, held 6-8:30 p.m. Wednesday at Randolph United Methodist Church, 16 Asbury St., Randolph.
Nothing lifts your spirits like singing great songs from each decade and hearing beautiful four-part harmony surround you. Chorus members are all vaccinated against COVID, and wearing masks is voluntary.
The chorus hopes to be singing live again soon for the folks it used to visit, such as the veterans at VA Maine Healthcare Systems-Togus, private celebrations, elderly housing and nursing home residents, fundraisers for humanitarian organizations and summer theater events, among others.
