RANGELEY – Rangeley Friends of the Arts is holding open auditions for singers and dancers for the live musical event “Best of DIVA,” which will open in July.
Auditions are open to everyone regardless of stage experience and the RFA would love have some new talent participate.
Auditions will be held from 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday, May 1, at the RFA Lakeside Theater, 2493 Main St. Those who can’t attend the audition date can email Erin Smith (erinnpsmith@gmail.com). Also email Smith if you need help finding a song to audition with.
Those auditioning should be prepared to sing to a karaoke track or recording. Those interested in being involved, but not as a soloist, should attend during audition hours and let the crew know what they’d like to do. The production needs back-up dancers and singers, as well as stage crew, set design, lighting and sound techs. It’s a great opportunity to get involved in something in the community and have some fun.
Performance dates are 7 p.m. July 1, 2, 4 and 5.
