AUGUSTA — Heather Pouliot, Board President of the Augusta Downtown Alliance, will be among the honorees at the Maine Downtown Foundation Maine Downtown Center annual awards and celebration 8:30-10 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 27.
The event will also feature 21 reflections on 2021, updates from the second cohort of Main Street Fellows, and remarks from MDF CEO Yellow Light Breen on the critical role of Maine’s downtowns. Event participants will be invited to attend short breakout discussions with key community members who are leading work on critical issues such as diversity, equity and inclusion; leadership; and the value of a local currency program.
Downtown projects honored will include Pouliot as Downtown Hero, Friends of Woodfords Corner “Imagine People Here Project” as top downton project and Rockland Main Street for Downtown Innovation.
