FEMA EMTs arrive at Central Maine Healthcare to help with patient load

Jan. 32022

EMTs Dan Hunt, from Texas, and Erin Stant, from Ohio, arrived at Central Maine Medical Center Dec. 28. CMMC was one of eight hospitals in Maine to welcome ambulance teams through the Federal Emergency Management Agency to help hospitals that are having staffing issues because of the COVID-19 pandemic. The crew will help by transporting patients between health care sites, opening up beds for other patients. They can also support hospital emergency departments. Below, Jen Bodger, CMH system director of case management, discusses operations with Hunt and Stant. (Central Maine Healthcare photos)
