SIDNEY – Houses from all corners of the town registered for the Light Up Sidney Christmas Decoration contest in December.
Two select board members, Alisa Meggison-Keimel and Ronday Snyder, along with a special kid judge, traveled around town on Dec. 20 to view the 15 registered houses.
Award-winners are:
FIRST PLACE was awarded to 1404 Pond Road for its classic elegance of Christmas.
SECOND PLACE was awarded to 3772 West River Road for the fun whimsical spirit of Christmas.
THIRD PLACE was awarded to 3811 West River Road for the Farm Fun that embodies Sidney.
Honorable mention went to 184 Pond Road.
The judges also gave a shout-out to the neighborhoods of Field Road and Sunset Ridge for having a neighborhood full of Christmas spirit.
Though the holiday is over, many of the lights are still shining for those who’d like to view them.
The judges’ tour began at the town office, and continued as follows:
