The first La Rencontre in a while was held on Thursday, Dec. 9, at the Gendron Franco Center, 46 Cedar St. The event included a Franco meal, music (pictured) and more. Given away at the December gathering were a 50/50 prize of $109; two sets of two tickets for the Franco Winter Extravaganza and gift cards to Roopers, George’s Pizza, and free appetizer/dessert coupons from Longhorn Steakhouse. The formerly monthly event is on hold again because of COVID-19 transmission in the area, but organizers hope it will return in two or three months. (Submitted photo)
