RANGELEY – Rangeley Friends of the Arts is holding open auditions for “Classic DIVA,” which will take the stage in February.
The performance will include songs and singers, both men and women, from the 40s, 50s and early 60s.
Specifically sought are singers who can perform classics of Billie Holiday, Lena Horne, Judy Garland, Doris Day, Perry Como, Frank Sinatra and others from that era.
Auditions are 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 8, at RFA Lakeside Theater, 2493 Main St. Those who can’t make the audition date, a video submission will be accepted before Jan. 8. Auditions are open to everyone regardless of stage experience.
Those who audition should be prepared to perform to a karaoke track or recording. Those who’d like to take part, but not as a soloist, may let producers know. The production needs backup dancers and singers, as well as stage crew, set design, lighting and sound techs.
